Vista and Romeo 2.1 issue

Postby Carlos on Thu Jan 17, 2008 10:22 am

I installed Romeo 2.1 in my Vista PC (at home) and it's not working properly.

When I add files to a project (link to file) the added files are not shown as links (with that Windows overlay icon) and the size are not from the linked files but the link itself.

E.g. instead show that a mp3 has 6MB Romeo 2.1 shows that file with less than 5KB.

The Project Info bar shows the sum of those 5KB files and when I press Burn button the total project size is the sum of those 5KB files.

I didn't notice that in XP but I'll make some tests later at work.

I reinstalled Romeo 2.0.1.55 and all is working as it should.

Just some additional informations:

- The issue was reproducible in a XP PC too (I saw that when I created a new project)

- In my Vista PC Explorer crashed twice: first when I pressed F5 (refresh) in a project created by Romeo 2.1 and when I tried to open a folder of a project

As soon as the new build is ready I'll start to make new tests.

Thanks. :)

The new build fixed the reported issue (XP PC).

The only thing I'm noticing is that the Project Info bar is not updated as soon as a new folder or file is added to a project.

I have to press F5 in order to see the sum of files and the space used.

Later I'll install in my Vista PC.

It's working now!

Thank you for the fast update.

By the way, do you think it'll be possible to change the current burning speed to "x times". E.g. instead 3 MB/s use 48x and so on

The reason is that I use to mesure/see CD/DVD drive speed like that (24x, 48x...) and thus it'll give me a direct feedback regarding the current burning speed.

I hope I was clear.

I'm still using the last official release (2.1.0.65) and there's an issue:

After filling a project I right clicked some files and started a new one.

Then when I opened the project the "Project info" bar/panel was not updated.

I was able to update the "Project Info" bar/panel after pressing "Burn" button.

I tried to refresh (F5 key) and Explorer froze (crashed). Then I tried to open the project and Explorer crashed again. I deleted the project (it seems it was corrupted or something).

Now, after those crashes Romeo seems to be working fine again.

I'll make more tests ASAP.

Well, Carlos, we will test that issue ASAP.
Do you constantly get the last error?

Unfortunately yes.

Today's steps:

I filled an existing project (drag & drop from one Explorer to another) then I created a new project and dropped a single mpeg file.

Explorer crashed.

It seems the main issue was not fixed:

I created a project and I added a folder (with some mp3) by drag and drop. Then (with this project opened) I started another Explorer session, then right click another folder and added to the same project. The first Explorer session (with the project opened) froze/crashed.

Edited: I reinstalled Romeo 2.0.1.55 again and I did a small test and the issue didn't happen. I'll make more tests to see if version 2.0.1.55 is really free of this bug

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce it. :(
Is it permanent issue on your PC?

Can you describe how to reproduce this bug more detailed?
