Romeo Project Types

Romeo Disc Burner can operate with three different project types:

  • Data Project - choose this if you want to burn data CD/DVD;
  • Audio Project - the most suitable to choose if you want to make a music CD;
  • CD Extra Project (Audio + Data) - choose this if you want a CD disc that combine audio and computer data for use in both compact disc and CD-ROM players.

There are two methods of project's data storing called data project type:

  • Link to files type means that files added to the project aren't physically copied to the project's folder. Romeo stores links to the source files, which allows you to save space on your hard disc. When you delete files from the project they aren't deleted from the hard disc. However, if you delete actual file from the hard disk, Romeo will warn you by using the red overlay icon as shown below:
  • Direct files copy project type means that all files added to project will be physically copied to the project's folder.

Creating and burning Romeo Project

To create new Romeo Project first of all open the Romeo Projects folder by opening it from Windows Explorer or directly from the Desktop. Click the New Romeo Project icon or the New Project button on the toolbar. The New Romeo Project dialog will appear:

Enter the new name of the project, select one of available project types and data project types.

Once you have checked the Open project after creation and clicked OK button, you are ready to add information to the project just like you copy files between regular folders in Windows Explorer. You also can save files to the project folder directly from any other program, for example - Notepad, Microsoft Word or Power Point as shown below:

You can compose the project structure as you like by creating new folders inside the project having selected the corresponding action (New > Folder) in the context menu. The project details, including project's data size indicator are displayed on the bottom panel of the window:

Press the Burn button on the toolbar or Burn project... item in context menu to run Romeo Disc Burner and burn the prepared project to disc.
